Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it and what rights you have. It applies to this website and to our online shop. We take data protection very seriously and handle your information confidentially, in accordance with Swiss law and – where applicable – foreign data protection law providing greater protection.

Art. 1 – Data Controller and Contact

1.1 This privacy policy is governed by Swiss law. It reflects the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revised FADP, in force since 1 September 2023). Where we address customers located in the European Union, should any provision of Swiss data protection law conflict with a provision of foreign law, the provision that affords the greater protection of the data shall apply.

1.2 The data controller is:

Repich Sport & Shooting SA
Via ai Gelsi 11, 6930 Bedano, Switzerland
Phone: +41 91 935 22 30
Website: www.repichsport.ch
E-mail: info@repichsport.ch
Data protection contact: info@repichsport.ch

Art. 2 – General Principles of Data Processing

2.1 We take the protection of personal data very seriously and handle it confidentially, in accordance with the applicable law and this policy. Everyone has the right to privacy and to protection against the misuse of their personal data. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and for which purposes.

2.2 We process personal data upon a legal basis only, in particular: (a) to perform a contract with you or to take pre-contractual steps at your request; (b) to comply with a legal obligation; (c) on the basis of our legitimate interests (e.g. security of our IT systems, analysis and improvement of our website and offering, protection of legal claims), provided your interests do not override them; or (d) on the basis of your consent for a specific purpose. Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

2.3 “User” includes all customers and visitors of our website; terms are meant to be gender-neutral. “We”, “us” and “our company” refer to Repich Sport & Shooting SA.

Art. 3 – Website Access Data (Server Log Files)

3.1 Each time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects access data stored temporarily in server log files: name of the file viewed, date and time of access, volume of data transmitted, the content accessed, browser type and version and other information sent by the browser, the referrer URL, the IP address and the requesting provider. For security reasons (e.g. to detect abuse or fraud) log data is kept for a maximum of 60 days and then erased, unless it must be retained longer as evidence.

Art. 4 – Contact Form and E-mail Contact

4.1 A contact form is available on our website. If you use it, the data you enter is transmitted to us and stored, together with the IP address, date and time of the request. Alternatively, you may contact us by e-mail or phone; the personal data you send (name, contact details, request) is stored. This data is used exclusively to handle your enquiry and is not passed on to third parties. It is deleted once the conversation with you is definitively concluded, unless retention obligations apply. You may object and withdraw consent at any time.

Art. 5 – Orders, Payment and Invoicing (Online Shop)

5.1 When you place an order through our online shop, we process the data necessary to conclude and perform the purchase contract: your first and last name, billing and delivery address, e-mail address, phone number, the products ordered, order date and amount, and the data required to process your payment.

5.2 Payments are handled by our payment service provider; card details are entered into the provider’s secure environment and are not stored by us. Invoices are issued and managed through our accounting system.

5.3 We use this data to process your order, issue the invoice, provide support and comply with our legal (in particular accounting and tax) obligations.

5.4 We keep order and invoicing data for as long as necessary to perform the contract and, thereafter, for the statutory retention period applicable to accounting records (10 years under Swiss law). After that period the data is deleted or archived in accordance with the law.

Art. 6 – Shipping and Transfer of Data to Carriers and Customs

6.1 To deliver your order we share the data strictly necessary for shipping (recipient name, delivery address, phone number and e-mail for delivery notifications) with the carrier that performs the delivery.

6.2 For deliveries outside Switzerland, the data required for customs clearance (recipient details and information about the goods) is also transmitted to the carrier and to the competent customs authorities of the destination country, so that the shipment can be imported and any import VAT and duties assessed. These recipients process the data as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.

Art. 7 – Cookies

7.1 Our website uses cookies — small text files stored in your browser. We use technically necessary cookies (e.g. language settings, basket contents, session information) that are required for the website to function, and, subject to your consent, analytics cookies that help us understand how the website is used and improve it. You can manage or refuse cookies at any time through the cookie settings and your browser settings. Full details of the cookies used are provided in our separate Cookie Policy.

Art. 8 – Third-Party Services and Technologies

8.1 Where we use third-party content or services, the provider may receive your IP address, as this is technically necessary to deliver the content to your browser. We only use providers who process the IP address for this purpose, and — for analytics and similar non-essential services — only with your consent. Some of these providers are located outside Switzerland/the EU (see Art. 9).

8.2 Stripe. We use Stripe (Stripe, Inc., USA) as our payment service provider. Stripe processes the data strictly necessary to complete the payment transaction. Card details entered during checkout are processed directly by Stripe in its own secure environment and are not stored by us. Stripe is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For further information: stripe.com/privacy.

8.3 WooCommerce. Our online shop is powered by WooCommerce (Automattic Inc., USA), an open-source e-commerce plugin. WooCommerce uses technically necessary cookies (e.g. shopping cart management) that are essential for the shop to function and do not require consent. For further information: automattic.com/privacy.

8.4 Traffic Source Analytics. We use a traffic source analytics tool that sets statistical cookies (sbjs_*) to understand how visitors reach our website (e.g. via direct visits, search engines or referral links). These cookies are only set with your consent and do not identify you personally. You may withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.

8.5 Google Analytics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Ireland) and, where data is transferred to the USA, Google LLC (USA). Google Analytics sets statistical cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to measure how visitors use our website (e.g. pages viewed, session duration, traffic sources) and to help us improve our website and offering. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. The service is only activated after you give your consent through the cookie banner. You may withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings, or prevent data collection by installing the Google Analytics browser opt-out add-on. Google LLC is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For further information: policies.google.com/privacy.

8.6 Meta Pixel (Facebook). With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (USA) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and to show relevant ads. The Pixel sets a marketing cookie (_fbp) that may be used to recognise your browser across sessions. Data may be transferred to Meta servers in the USA under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and applicable standard contractual clauses. You may withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings. For further information: facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Art. 9 – Transfer of Data Abroad

9.1 Personal data are transferred abroad only where necessary to perform the contract (e.g. shipping and customs), where required by law, or with your consent, or where we use service providers located abroad.

9.2 Where data are transferred to a country that does not offer an adequate level of protection, we ensure appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or recognised transfer frameworks, including the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework) in accordance with the applicable law.

Art. 10 – Data Retention and Deletion

10.1 We process and store personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described and our contractual and legal obligations. Thereafter the data are deleted or blocked, unless a longer retention is required for evidentiary purposes or by statutory retention obligations (in particular accounting records, retained for 10 years under Swiss law).

Art. 11 – Your Rights

11.1 Subject to the conditions set out in the applicable law, you have the right to: obtain information about whether and how we process your personal data (right of access); have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or completed; request erasure of your data; request restriction of processing; object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests and, at any time, to processing for direct marketing; receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and have it transmitted to another controller (data portability); withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future; and not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal effects concerning you.

11.2 To exercise your rights, contact us at info@repichsport.ch. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Art. 12 – Right to Lodge a Complaint

12.1 If you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes the applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority — in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), and in the EU the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

Art. 13 – Data Security

13.1 We protect the systems and services used to process your personal data through appropriate technical and organisational measures, ensuring their confidentiality, integrity and availability, taking into account the state of the art, the risks involved and the potential consequences for the individuals concerned.

Art. 14 – Links to Third-Party Websites

14.1 Our website may contain links to third-party websites over whose content we have no influence. The respective provider or operator is always responsible for the content of those pages. Links were checked for legal violations at the time of creation; if we become aware of any infringement we will remove the relevant link promptly.

Art. 15 – Updates to This Privacy Policy

15.1 This privacy policy is valid as of September 2026. We reserve the right to amend it where necessary due to the further development of our website and offering or changes in applicable law. The current version is always available on our website.
